Sleepy Hollow’s outdoor gardens and classroom is our newest addition to better enhance our student’s learning as we implement Fairfax County School’s “Portrait of a Graduate”. In addition to raised garden beds, there is an area for native Virginia plants, a butterfly garden and a future greenhouse. The 4000+ square foot garden also contains an outdoor classroom complete with natural seating, and tables for hands on learning. The outdoor gardens and classroom are aligned with the science and STEAM curricular, but will be used to support all aspects of student achievement.
